[BETA] Race - Half-Elf

Half-Elf

Size: Medium
Base Speed: 30ft
Languages: Common and Elven

Human Blood, Elf Blood
Half-Elves can take racial feats for both Humans and Half-Elves.

Lithe Build
+2 racial bonus to Acrobatics and Athletics.

Elven Sight
Elves have Low-light vision 60ft.

Human Versatility
You gain any one feat you would normally qualify for.

Half-Elven Knack
A number of times per day equal to their WIS modifier, a half-elf may add 1d6 a skill roll provided they are trained in that skill..

Backgrounds
Choose one Major Elf, Half-Elf or Human Backgrounds and two Minor Elf, Half-Elf, or Human Backgrounds


Major Half-Elf Backgrounds

Charm and Grace [Background, Half-Elf]
Half-Elves live almost exclusively in close proximity to other races and cultures from their own and as such, they quickly learn how to pour on the charm as needed.

Benefit: You gain a +3 racial bonus to Diplomacy. Indifferent NPCs start encounters with a friendly toward you instead.


Adaptive Combat [Background, Half-Elf]
The versatile mindset of half-elves lends itself to developing incredibly fluid combat styles.

Benefit: Changing battle stances costs a swift action rather than a move action.



Discarnate Resonance [Background, Half-Elf]
Half-elves display a greater than average propensity for being sensitive to discarnate energies as well as being born spirit docents.

Benefit: Discarnate spells you cast gain a +1 to their DC and Spell Resistance rolls.



Latest and Greatest [Background, Half-Elf]
Even more than humans, half-elves have an appreciation for progress and in the case of weapons technology, that means firearms.

Benefit: You start the game with a masterwork version of any Small Arm or Long Arm and 20 shells or cartridges. You are proficient with that specific type of weapon, but not the entire category.



Chemical Savant [Background, Half-Elf]
Half-elves who gravitate to science have displayed great strives in the field of alchemy.

Benefit: The DCs of any alchemical device you create increase by +1 and if they deal damage, they deal +1 both direct and splash damage.



Minor Half-Elf Backgrounds

Elf Ears [Background, Half-Elf]
Not all half-elves have retained the auditory acuity of their elven ancestors, but those that do are just as capable.

Benefit: You gain a +2 racial bonus to Perception checks involving hearing.



Renaissance Genius [Background, Half-Elf]
Half-elves have taken to the ways of science and reason much faster than any other race.

Benefit: You gain a +2 racial bonus to Mechanics and Alchemy.



Multi-cultured [Background, Half-Elf]
Living mostly in cities made up of dozens of races, half-elves often pick up bits and pieces from their neighbors.

Benefit: You gain an additional Language of your choice and a +1 racial bonus to Knowledge (Geography)..
